2025-26 NBA Title Odds: Cavaliers Skyrocket After Landing 'The Beard'

The Pistons are 38-13, just two games back of OKC in the win column. Who saw that coming? Still, while the Thunder top the board (they've been in the No. 1 spot since preseason), Detroit is seventh on the board overall and fourth in the East. What gives? OKC is second in the NBA in points per game (119.9) and first in points allowed (107.9), with a league-leading point differential of 11.9. As for Detroit, it has the third-best defense in the league, allowing 109.7 points per game, and it is second in point differential (7.8). Immediate Contenders: Second on the board is Denver. The Nuggets have the best offense in the league (120.4 points per game) and the second-best field-goal percentage (49.5%). How impressive is that? Well, Nikola Jokić has missed 16 games this year and the Nuggets went 10-6 in that span. And seven of those wins came on the road. Denver and OKC played for the first time on Feb. 1, with the Thunder winning by 10 on the road. Third on the board are the Cavs, who jumped from +2800 on Jan. 29 to +1200 on Feb. 9, after trading Darius Garland for James Harden. Harden posted 23 points and eight assists in his Cleveland debut, a 6-point win in Sacramento. The Cavaliers are fourth in the East, trailing Detroit, New York and Boston.
