AUS vs BAN [WATCH]: Taskin Ahmed pulls off bizarre celebration after dismissing Cameron Green on Day 1 of 1st Test

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed provided a lighthearted moment during the opening day of the first Test against Australia in Darwin. The fast bowler came up with an unusual celebration after dismissing Cameron Green, adding some entertainment to an otherwise impressive session for the visitors.

Green had looked to attack a length delivery but failed to control his shot, giving Bangladesh another important wicket during a difficult opening session for Australia.

The dismissal came in the 22nd over of Australia’s innings. Taskin bowled a length delivery that Green attempted to flick towards the leg side. However, the batter completely miscued the shot, sending the ball towards mid-wicket. Veteran Bangladesh cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim positioned himself perfectly and completed a good catch to send Green back to the pavilion.

Taskin immediately broke into a small dance after the wicket, sticking his tongue out as his teammates ran towards Rahim to celebrate. The unusual reaction quickly caught the attention of cricket fans on social media.

Bangladesh pacers trouble Australia on opening morning

The dismissal of Green capped an excellent start for Bangladesh, with their pace attack making the most of the helpful conditions in Darwin. Australia were reduced to 74/4 during the opening session after captain Pat Cummins opted to bat first before eventually recovering to post 198 all out.

Bangladesh made a solid start to their reply and reached 96/1 in 24 overs by the end of the day. Tanzid Hasan Tamim remained at the crease alongside Mominul Haque, as the visitors finished the opening day in a promising position. With Bangladesh trailing by just 102 runs and nine wickets still in hand, they will look to build a strong first-innings total when play resumes.
