LYON recorded a 3-0 win over G2 Esports on Friday to reserve their spot in the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational lower-bracket final in Daejeon, South Korea.
LYON sandwiched 36- and 39-minute victories on red around a 31-minute triumph on blue to set up a clash against Hanwha Life on Saturday. The winner of that contest will face Bilibili Gaming in the grand final on Sunday.
Kacper “Inspired” Sloma of LYON was the MVP of Friday’s match. The 24-year-old from Poland posted a 13-4-27 kills-deaths-assists ratio.
The champion will receive $500,000 and qualify for this fall’s 2026 World Championship. All matches are best-of-five.
