The Dodgers are acquiring right-hander Seth Halvorsen from the Rockies for outfielder Landyn Vidourek (L.A.’s No. 25 prospect) and righty Nick Frasso, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. Neither club has confirmed the deal.
Halvorsen, 26, has been on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation since July 4. He began a rehab stint with Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, tossing a scoreless inning for the Isotopes.
Halvorsen is one of MLB’s hardest throwers, but he has often struggled with control during his career, issuing 38 walks in 71 innings (4.8 BB/9) over parts of three seasons. He’s spent this season shuttling between Triple-A and MLB and posted a 4.74 ERA with 17 strikeouts and 15 walks over 19 innings for the Rockies before going on the IL.
Vidourek, 22, recorded a .170 average with six homers and a .643 OPS over 256 plate appearances for Single-A Ontario this season, striking out nearly 39% of the time. The Dodgers took him with a third-round Draft pick in 2025.
Frasso has posted a 3.90 ERA over five Minor League seasons, including a 4.98 ERA and a 1.56 WHIP across 121 innings in Triple-A. A fourth-round pick by the Blue Jays in 2020, the 27-year-old joined the Dodgers alongside Moises Brito in a ’22 trade for Mitch White and Alex De Jesus.
