Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are within touching distance of one of the most culturally significant fights in British boxing history.
The heavyweight titans have been intrinsically linked for the majority of their respective careers, and now they are just one fight away from getting their hands on one another.
If Fury beats Polish veteran Mariusz Wach in Thailand on Friday, and Joshua overcomes little-known Albanian Kristian Prenga one day later, then they will punch their tickets for a money-spinning domestic dust-up.
While the full details of the contest have yet to be disclosed, there are plenty of reports to glean information from.

Joshua vs Fury is expected to take place at the back end of 2026, barring injuries or any other inhibiting factors.
Organisers are reportedly targeting dates in November.
If it were to take place on a Saturday, as is customary, that would mean the fight could fall on November 7, 14, 21 or 28.

The proposed location for the fight has been a touchy subject in recent weeks.
While the bout is being contested between the two biggest stars in British boxing, The Athletic reported last month that Las Vegas is the frontrunner to host the event.
Other US cities have also been considered, with Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium and the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles earmarked as potential venues.
This is because Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh and broadcaster Netflix are insistent upon tapping into the US market.

Unfortunately, this is expected to come at the cost of the British public.
Alalshikh recently revealed that he will happily stage the event in the UK, but only if it can take place during US primetime.
This would mean Joshua and Fury making their ring walks at around 2am BST in the early hours of the morning.
As there is a 1am curfew for events held at Wembley Stadium, it is currently logistically impossible for the fight to take place at the iconic 90,000-seater unless Alalshikh budges or the local council waives the restriction.
Cardiff’s 80,000-capacity Principality Stadium has since been put forward as a potential alternative, as there are no such curfews.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Rugby Union, which owns the stadium, told Sky Sports: “We’d be delighted to host this fight.

“We are very keen to attract more boxing to the stadium, which has a rich history in the sport, enhanced by its closable roof, unrivalled sight lines and unique city centre location.”
AJ packed out the Principality for world title fights with Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker, while one of Joe Calzaghe’s most famous nights against Mikkel Kessler took place at the home of Welsh Rugby.

As is to be expected for a fight of this magnitude, Joshua and Fury will earn a pretty penny.
Reports indicate that the Brits are set to pocket an even share of £200million.
