The four Europa League ties in the acca consist of several teams used to playing on the European stage, of those Maccabi Tel Aviv and PAOK both have first leg leads to build in, the former having won 5-0 against their Moldovan opposition while the Greeks played out a thrilling 3-2 in Poland against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv.
Former European champions Benfica and Cypriot side Pafos, who both played in the Champions League league phase last season, both have work to do after falling to defeats in their first legs, the former in Switzerland against St Gallen while the latter were beaten in Croatia by Hajduk Split.
In the Conference League, Scotland have two teams in action with Motherwell and Hibernian both looking to book their place in the penultimate round of qualifying, the former travel to the Faroe Islands looking to defend their the 2-0 lead they earned back at home last week.
The Edinburgh side have much more work to do following their disappointing 2-0 defeat in Kosovo last week against Malisheva, but despite that loss will still back themselves to overturn the deficit in front of their home fans on Thursday night.
Ajax are another team who have conquered the continent on previous occasions and are scrapping to reach the Conference League this season, though their 4-1 win in Serbia against Vojvodina last week stands them in good stead to reach round three.
Braga, Partizan and Gent are the other well established European sides in the acca, the former two sides taking leads into Thursday’s second legs following wins over Zeleznicar Pancevo and UNA Strassen respectively, while the Belgian side are as they were following their goalless draw against Ukrainian side LNZ Cherkasy in Poland last time out.
