Manchester Super Giants (MSG) registered a commanding nine-wicket victory over Welsh Fire (WEF) in The Hundred Men’s 2026, but one of the biggest talking points of the contest came in the field. Ben Kellaway produced a sensational boundary-hopping catch to dismiss the dangerous Paul Walter during the second innings, with the spectacular effort quickly going viral across social media.
The victory also marked an important turnaround for the Super Giants, who snapped a three-match losing streak. Chasing 156, the Jos Buttler-led side made light work of the target, thanks to explosive knocks from Tim Seifert and Buttler.

The stunning moment came when Paul Walter attempted to take on Sam Cook with a powerful pull shot towards deep midwicket. Kellaway positioned himself perfectly near the boundary rope and initially completed the catch with both hands.
However, realizing that his momentum was carrying him beyond the boundary, Kellaway displayed exceptional awareness by tossing the ball into the air before stepping over the ropes. He then hopped back inside the field of play and safely completed the catch, dismissing Walter for a quickfire 37 off just 18 deliveries, an innings that included four fours and two sixes.
The athletic effort immediately drew praise from teammates, commentators, and fans, with many calling it one of the best catches of this year’s tournament.

Jos Buttler powers Manchester Super Giants to a comfortable win
Earlier in the contest, Welsh Fire posted 155/4 after Phil Salt and Matt Short stitched together a century opening partnership. Short top-scored with 71, while Salt contributed 48 before the Super Giants bowlers struck regularly in the closing stages to restrict the scoring.
In reply, Manchester Super Giants launched a blistering chase. Seifert remained unbeaten on 62, while Buttler smashed 51, bringing up his half-century in just 20 balls. During the innings, Buttler also surpassed Kieron Pollard to become the leading run-scorer in T20 history.
Walter added a rapid 37 before Kellaway’s brilliant catch ended his stay at the crease. Despite the dismissal, the Super Giants comfortably chased down the target with nine wickets in hand, strengthening their Net Run Rate and climbing to third place in the standings.
