Best fantasy football WR waiver wire pickups for Week 15

Hello and welcome to the Week 15 waiver wire watch for wide receivers!

It’s finally that time people. The fantasy playoffs are here. Every lineup decision you’ve made has built up to these next few weeks and whether you’re fighting to hoist the trophy or trying to avoid being your league’s “Sacko”, it’s time for you to lock in. So let’s start looking for ways to fortify your rosters for the first round of the postseason.

We’ll go over some WR performers that you should consider scooping off the waiver wire ahead of Week 15 and as always, we’ll classify a waiver add as someone who is rostered in 60% of leagues at the max. Bye weeks are officially over with, so every team will be in action from here on out.

Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers (49.7%)

How do you follow-up a clutch 80-yard, one-touchdown performance against a divisional rival one week? How about a clutch 89-yards, two-touchdown performance against a divisional rival the following week? That’s exactly what Watson just did as he helped the Bears jump into first place in the NFC North with a 28-21 victory over the Bears.

Watson has been a dangerous weapon for Jordan Love since making his season-debut in Week 8 and he continues to rank in the top 15 in both ADOT and yards per route run among receivers with at least 100 routes run this season. That matchup against the Broncos this Sunday looks daunting, but you’re going to want to jump on the opportunity to grab him.

Week 15 matchup: @ Denver Broncos, 4:25 p.m. ET

Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts (45.6%)

The Colts are in big, big trouble after their 36-19 loss to the Jags and Daniel Jones’ torn Achilles diagnosis could torpedo their playoff hopes altogether. Riley Leonard will be the man that has to step up for Indy at QB and one of the weapons that he can rely on is Pierce, who had five receptions for 80 yards during Sunday’s loss in Jacksonville.

It proved to be yet another solid day for Pierce, who continues to lead the league with 20.2 yards per catch. The sixth-round rookie QB out of Notre Dame/Duke is going to need to lean on some reliable faces to get him through his first start and that’s where Pierce can swoop in to rack up some easy catches.

Week 15 matchup: @ Seattle Seahawks, 4:25 p.m. ET

Chimere Dike, WR, Tennessee Titans (18.7%)

Hey, the Titans won a game on Sunday! It was a two-point win over the almost equally terrible Cleveland Browns, but wins are wins baby. Cam Ward didn’t have a particularly efficient day through the air but Dike ended up being his most dependable weapon, catching five passes for 24 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown that extended their lead.

That’s now two touchdowns in three games for the rookie and he’s been getting a lot of looks lately with an average of five targets over his last four outings. That could make him a decent play in PPR, so be on the lookout for him this week.

Week 15 matchup: @ San Francisco 49ers, 4:25 p.m. ET

Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Detroit Lions (13.7%)

The Lions had to have it in their 44-30 victory over the Cowboys last Thursday and they kept themselves afloat in the NFC postseason hunt. Wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa once again stepped up for the team with two receptions for 20 yards and a touchdown, his second score in the last two weeks.

The rookie from Arkansas is finally starting to see more action with Kalif Raymond hurt and last Thursday’s win marked the second straight game where he logged at least 48 offensive snaps. Continue to monitor TeSlaa’s progress, especially if you’re in a dynasty league and see him just chilling on the waiver wire this week.

Week 15 matchup: @ Los Angeles Rams, 4:25 p.m. ET
