How to watch Bad Bunny and what time he’ll go on at the Super Bowl 60 halftime show
Super Bowl Sunday is officially upon us! The game kicks off on Sunday, February 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET, and by roughly 10 p.m., either the Seattle Seahawks or New England Patriots will be raising the Lombardi Trophy in victory. One fanbase will be ecstatic and one will be somewhere between unhappy and thoroughly miserable.
The game will provide plenty of entertainment, but for most viewers, it’s less about the two particular teams and more about everything surrounding the game. The commercials will be much talked about, and you’ll probably enjoy some tasty food at home or at a Super Bowl party. But also, this year’s Super Bowl halftime show is going to be a big one.
Super Bowl 2026 halftime show performer
This year’s show will feature Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio taking the stage. Some of you might know him better as Bad Bunny.
Bad Bunny is one of the biggest musical performers in the world and the NFL views him as a conduit to a massive international fanbase to which it is hoping to grow its appeal. But he also has been in the news of late due to outrage from right-wing influencers and government officials. He has been a vocal critic of the current administration and how they have treated immigrants. Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and others have been critical of the decision and threatened immigration enforcement in the Bay Area during the Super Bowl. The government backed down from that, but I’m sure we’ll hear plenty on right wing social media and other platforms during and after the Super Bowl about the Bad Bunny show.
In spite of the haters, we can safely expect Bad Bunny to put on a fantastic show and probably feature a guest appearance or two. It would appear J Balvin will not be one of those guests. He told TMZ he will be there to support Bad Bunny, but he won’t be part of the show. He has appeared in a Super Bowl halftime show previously with Bad Bunny when both showed up as guests for the Shakira/Jennifer Lopez show at Super Bowl 54 in 2020.
There have been no leaks yet about potential surprise guest appearances, but Shakira and/or Jennifer Lopez would not be a surprise. Similarly, Cardi B, Rauw Alejandro, and Marc Antony all could potentially show up for the show. Cardi B makes a lot of sense with her new tour launching in three days. She’ll likely be in attendance given her relationship with Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, so a guest appearance would not be at all surprising.
What time does the halftime show start?
The Super Bowl kicks off at approximately 6:30 p.m. ET. The halftime show will likely get going sometime around 8 or 8:15 p.m. Bad Bunny and any guests will get roughly 12-15 minutes of song time. FanDuel has created an over/under of 11.5 songs, so you can probably expect double digit songs this evening.
How can I watch the halftime show?
This year the Super Bowl is on NBC. That means it will also stream on Peacock, and through DirecTV Stream, Sling TV, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV.
