Dutch fintech agency Quantoz to roll out MiCAR-compliant stablecoins pegged to the euro and U.S. greenback in a bid to facilitate funds and transfers throughout markets.
Quantoz Funds, a Netherlands-headquartered cost tech agency, plans to debut two MiCAR-compliant stablecoins — EURQ and USDQ — because the Markets in Crypto-Property rules loom. In a Nov. 18 press launch, Quantoz stated the euro and U.S. dollar-pegged tokens will function on the Ethereum blockchain, backed by fiat reserves and supervised by De Nederlandsche Financial institution.
The stablecoin issuer says transfers in each tokens shall be “cheaper when in comparison with present cost infrastructure,” including that crypto exchanges Bitfinex and Kraken would be the first to record EURQ and USDQ for buying and selling to eligible purchasers on Nov. 21.
Commenting on the launch, Quantoz chief government Arnoud Star Busmann says the MiCA regulation brings a “new stage of belief to digital belongings markets, not least by its prudential necessities on the issuers of stablecoins.”
