Luther Burden III start or sit: Week 14 fantasy football advice

Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season rolls on this afternoon with a major NFC North rivalry battle for first place featuring the Chicago Bears visiting the Green Bay Packers at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Bears notched their fifth straight victory with a 24-15 win over the Eagles on Black Friday and as a result, they now find themselves sitting atop the entire NFC as the No. 1 seed. Wide receiver Luther Burden III chipped towards the winning effort and he could be in line for some more work at Lambeau Field today.

Below, we’ll go over Burden’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 14.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bears WR Luther Burden III

Burden caught four of six targets for 33 receiving yards in last Friday’s win over the defending Super Bowl champions, also adding a single carry for three rushing yards to his stat line. It wasn’t quite an explosive day for the rookie out of Missouri, but he’s starting to get into the mix more as the season winds down as that marked his second straight game where he was on the field for at least 50% of the offensive snaps.

With top wideout Rome Odunze being ruled out with a foot injury, some believe that this could be Burden’s time to shine in his absence. The rookie’s 76.5% catch rate ranks 11th among receivers with at least 100 routes run this year, so Caleb Williams can at least feel comfortable when seeing him out there.

Start or sit in Week 14?

Sit. Burden should get more reps in today’s game, but I don’t think it will make a noticeable difference on the fantasy front. If anything, I’d imagine the Bears will lean more into their run game after last week’s explosive performances from both D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai. Keep Burden on the bench.
