NFL free agency 2026 player rankings: Best wide receivers available
The new league year is nearly upon us, and with it comes free agency. Fans of every team except the Seahawks and Patriots are now focused on the offseason and what their favorite team’s roster will look like when the 2026 season starts and which new faces might be on the field in September.
If your team is in the market for a wide receiver and has some cap space to work with, it’s a great year to improve your group of pass catchers. From the breakout star George Pickens to the ever-consistent veteran Mike Evans, here are your team’s best options at wide receiver in free agency.
1.) George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys
2025 Stats: 17 games played (15 starts), 93 receptions for 1,429 yards (15.4 YPR), 9 receiving touchdowns, 4 fumbles
Pickens was traded to Dallas last May after spending the first three years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. 2025 saw the Georgia product have his best season to date, finishing eighth in the NFL in catches (93), third in yards (1,429), and fourth in touchdowns (9, earning his first Pro Bowl nod and Second-Team All-Pro honors.
2.) Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2025 Stats: 8 games played (8 starts), 30 receptions for 383 yards (12.3 YPR), 3 receiving touchdowns
2025 finally saw Mike Evans finish a season with fewer than 1,000 yards receiving, and it took a broken collarbone to keep him from reaching his 11th consecutive 1,000-yard campaign. Despite that, he still showed he was more than capable of being an impact player, catching 30 passes and three touchdowns in eight games. Evans will be 33 by the time the 2026 season kicks off, but is still one of the best 50-50 ball guys in the league.
3.) Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants
2025 Stats: 16 games played (15 starts), 92 receptions for 1,014 receiving yards (11.0 YPR), 4 receiving touchdowns, 1 fumble
Robinson is coming off consecutive 90-catch seasons, topping 1,000 yards for the first time in his career in 2025. His 93 catches ranked eighth in the league, and he had 14 receptions of 20+ yards.
4.) Rashid Shaheed, Seattle Seahawks
2025 Stats: 18 games played (13 starts), 59 receptions for 687 receiving yards (11.6 YPR), 2 receiving touchdowns, 9 attempts for 69 rushing yards, 339 punt return yards, 1 punt return touchdown, 447 kick return yards, 1 kick return touchdown
Rashid Shaheed, Seattle Seahawks: The Weber State product has developed into one of the NFL’s best home-run hitters, both as a deep threat and in the return game. He caught 59 passes for 687 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season, one of which was an 87-yard catch and run. Additionally, Shaheed returned a total of three kicks for scores across the regular season and postseason (two kickoffs, one punt) and earned his second Pro Bowl bid.
5.) Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers
2025 Stats: 15 games played (15 starts), 55 receptions for 643 receiving yards (11.7 YPR), 9 receiving touchdowns, 1 fumble
Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers: The multi-talented Jennings stepped up for the 49ers in a year in which injuries were at an all-time high. Brock Purdy, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and Rikcy Pearsall all missed time in 2025 due to respective injuries, which meant Jennings was called on in a bigger role. He caught 55 passes and a career-high nine touchdowns as the 49ers made it to the divisional round of the postseason. On top of being a reliable target, especially on third down, Jennings is one of the most willing run-blockers at the position in the NFL.
6.) Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers
2025 Stats: 16 games played (15 starts), 55 receptions for 724 receiving yards (13.2 YPR), 6 receiving touchdowns, 1 fumble
Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers: Doubs notched a career-high in receiving yards with 724 in 2025. His six touchdowns were the second-most in his career, helping the Packers get to the postseason for the third straight year. His passer rating when targeted ranked 13th in the NFL, per PFF.
7.) Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts
2025 Stats: 15 games played (14 starts), 47 receptions for 1,003 receiving yards (21.3 YPR), 6 receiving touchdowns
Pierce put up an absolutely insane statline in 2025. He had 1,0003 yards on 47 catches, meaning he averaged over 21 yards per reception. This comes after averaging 22.3 yards per catch in 2024. Pierce has become one of the league’s top deep threats and had receptions of 66, 50, 48, and 44 yards in 2025.
8.) Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers
2025 Stats: 17 games played (3 starts), 81 receptions for 777 receiving yards (9.6 YPR), 4 receiving touchdowns, 2 fumbles
Allen has aged like fine wine, and he was productive in 2025 with the Chargers after a one-year hiatus in Chicago. He caught 81 passes and four touchdowns in his age 33 season. And while he is turning 34 in April, he can be a productive big slot receiver and a red zone target for a team in need of a proven veteran.
9.) Hollywod Brown, Kansas City Chiefs
2025 Stats: 16 games played (6 starts), 49 receptions for 587 receiving yards (12.0 YPR), 5 receiving touchdowns, 1 fumble
Hollywood Brown, Kansas City Chiefs: After missing all but two regular season games in 2024, Brown put together a quality campaign in 2025. He caught 49 passes and five touchdowns. He is a proven, reliable veteran who is boundary and slot versatile.
10.) Christian Kirk, Houston Texans
2025 Stats: 13 games played (3 starts), 29 receptions for 239 receiving yards (8.5 YPR), 1 receiving touchdown
It was a largely quiet year for Kirk, who missed nine games in 2024 due to injury. He caught only 28 passes in the 2025 regular season, but had a massive performance against the Steelers in the wild card round, hauling in eight passes for 144 yards and a touchdown. He also caught a touchdown against the New England Patriots in the divisional round. Kirk has over 5,400 yards and 30 touchdowns in his career.
