Rogers Charity Classic raises record-breaking $26.6M
It was a record year for the Rogers Charity Classic.
The Champions Tour event in Calgary raised a tournament-record $26.6 million to support children’s charities across Alberta, it announced on Thursday.
Since its inception, the event has now brought in $164.3 million for charity.
“We are proud to make Alberta stronger by supporting children’s charities through the power of sport,” said Rogers president and CEO Tony Staffieri. “It’s a real privilege to help even more youth in our communities with another record-breaking fundraising effort this year.”
Fundraising efforts for the 2025 event began in June when Rogers donated $1 million to Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink, the charitable arm of the event.
The charity supports youth across the province in areas including counselling, sport and family support.
“Each year, the Rogers Charity Classic reminds us that generosity is truly at the heart of our community,” said AltaLink president and CEO Gary Hart. “As the presenting sponsor of Rogers Birdies for Kids, we’re proud to support hundreds of youth-based charities across Alberta. It really hits home when we see the impact it has on kids every day and we’re honoured to be part of it.”
Australia’s Richard Green won the 2025 Rogers Charity Classic by one stroke at 18-under ahead of Argentina’s Ricardo Gonzalez.
The 2026 event is set for Aug. 17-23 at Canyon Meadows Golf Club in Calgary.
