Super Bowl 2026: RedZone’s Scott Hanson is an NFL trivia machine
It turns out hosting NFL RedZone requires knowledge. A lot of it.
We had the chance to speak with the legendary Scott Hanson while out at Super Bowl LX in San Francisco and we put his NFL trivia skills to the test with SB Nation’s In-5. It took him a second to get his bearings, but he did not disappoint. You can watch our conversation below.
Rocket is using the Super Bowl Experience to spotlight connection. Just as the Super Bowl brings people together through sports, neighbors are what connect our homes to our communities. With only about 26% of Americans saying they know all or most of their neighbors, according to Pew Research Center, Rocket is using this moment to remind fans how everyday connections between neighbors can strengthen the places we live and why that message feels especially timely right now.
So many people are curious about what RedZone is like. It is such a huge part of our lives so learning little details adds to the magic of it all.
When I asked Scott what his favorite moment from last season that did not involve a football play of any kind was he pondered and recalled when the control room received a wing delivery. You see, with so many buttons and gadgets at the ready, greasy fingers are a dangerous thing.
It was a great chat that that our friends at Rocket helped set up. Our thanks to them and to Scott for the time.
