Tommy Fleetwood continues to have great perspective on golf, but on everything as well
It is safe to say that 2025 was kind to Tommy Fleetwood.
The Englishman finally broke through on the PGA Tour and won the tournament of all tournaments in the Tour Championship in Atlanta. This was fantastic to see in general, but particularly in 2025 as Tommy had been coming so close and earning his first PGA Tour win had become more than a storyline. It was the thing.
Fleetwood took care of that as noted and added to it on the season with an away Ryder Cup win alongside his fellow Europeans. Sunday at Bethpage Black was riveting, but it was a dismantling by the European side and Tommy is a big part of that. His golf game speaks for itself.
Recently Tommy has been doing a fair bit of speaking himself, too. He was a guest on Men in Blazers with Roger Bennett and the duo spoke of their shared love for Everton Football Club. I say this with respect as I am a Manchester United fan… supporters of Everton are a special bunch. It takes a persistent bit of positivity to root for them, qualities that Tommy and Roger both very clearly hold, and the process of doing so can be valuable on the golf course (seriously).
The duo covered Everton at large, including Tommy’s favorite memory of supporting the club which was fantastic for all golf fans… no spoilers her, and also spoke of Tommy’s season in 2025. It was certainly one that he will remember forever for a number of reasons.
I’ve been an MIB fan for a long time and always enjoyed Roger Bennett’s style of interviewing. He has a way of getting to know his guests on an intimate level and that really shines through in the conversations. Tommy Fleetwood was the perfect person for that kind of conversation and the entire thing is well worth your time, even if you don’t love Everton (why would you want to?!).
More Tommy Fleetwood. More Roger Bennett. More golf. More soccer. All of it.
Please.
