It’s here! The fantasy playoffs are here! Hopefully you have a team or two ready to take on the final gauntlet. No bye weeks and lots of teams still in the hunt for a playoff spot. It should be a good week of fake football. Good luck!

QB streamer of the week

JJ McCarthy, Vikings vs. Cowboys

Since you are the fantasy playoffs, I expect you don’t need to risk playing McCarthy, but with him finally putting a decent game together last week and a matchup with the Cowboys this week, his upside looks legitimate. Despite the team playing better of late, the Cowboys pass defense continues to allow the most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

QB injuries/news

Daniel Jones, Colts

Jones tore his Achilles and is done for the year. The team could bring back 44-year old grandfather Phillip Rivers or go with their current backup Riley Leonard or just fly to Cancun. Whatever happens, it’s not good for the Colts offensive players for fantasy.

Tyrod Taylor, Jets

Taylor injured his groin last week and was unable to return. Brady Cook appears next in line with Justin Fields’ knee hurting or something. If we want any fantasy upside for the Jets against the Jaguars, we’ll probably need to see Taylor get back out there.

Geno Smith, Raiders

Smith has multiple injuries he’s dealing with at this point in the season, but the most recent is his shoulder. It doesn’t sound like a longterm injury, but we’ll need to see him practice this week to be able to play against the Eagles.

Jayden Daniels, Commanders

Daniels returned last week from his shoulder injury, but suffered an elbow injury and was forced from the game. It doesn’t sound like a significant injury, but with nothing left to play for and Marcus Mariota playing well enough, there’s a chance Daniels misses this week against the Giants.
