Tyler Allgeier start or sit: Week 15 fantasy football advice
Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season will kick off tonight with an NFC South showdown featuring the Atlanta Falcons visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
The Falcons were blown out by the Seahawks 37-9 on Sunday and with that, they were officially eliminated from playoff contention as they have now endured their eighth straight losing season. Running back Tyler Allgeier at least got plenty of work in the setback and he’s now entering what could be his final stretch of games with the organization.
Below, we’ll go over Allgeier’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 15.
Fantasy Football analysis: Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier
Allgeier was very active in Sunday’s blowout loss to the Seahawks, registering 11 carries for 34 rushing yards on the ground while also adding an additional two receptions for 33 receiving yards to his stat line. It was the second time in the last three games where he was on the field for at least 39% of the offensive snaps while backing up Bijan Robinson and that could probably be attributed to garbage time due to both of those matchups being lopsided affairs.
The fourth-year veteran has been an effective handcuff to Robinson all season long and enters Week 15 as a top-35 fantasy running back in both standard and half-PPR leagues. That has mostly been due to his effectiveness in the red zone with seven of his team-leading eight rushing touchdowns on the season coming inside the 20. While the Falcons have nothing left to play for, Allgeier is now entering the last four games of his rookie contract before becoming an unrestricted free agent this offseason. One would imagine him putting his best foot forward in this last month of the regular season for potential suitors.
Start or sit in Week 15?
Start. Allgeier is averaging a touchdown roughly every other week and is going up against a Bucs defense that has been a bit soft against the run in the red zone, allowing 3.5 yards per carry in that area of the field. It would not be a surprise to see him score tonight and if you’re looking for some Flex options with some upside in your first-round playoff matchup, the Falcons backup could be a good choice.
