WWE news: Brock Lesnar recreates ‘punch’ meme with Eric Stonestreet

You might remember Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet’s iconic meme with WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar, where he’d joke that he wanted to “punch the next person I see,” and it’d end up being the “Beast Incarnate.”

The two seemingly linked up at the 2026 SummerSlam PLE in Minneapolis, Minnesota, once again recreating the viral meme. He once again said he wanted to “punch” someone, saying, “I’m so mad, I’m gonna punch the first person I see.”

Lesnar then appears in the background, prompting Stonestreet to say, “I mean, the second person I see.” However, he can’t shake the “Beast Incarnate,” and the Modern Family star puts his foot down, saying, “Brock, out of my shot!”

You can see Lesnar laugh in the background as the video ends. Stonestreet captioned the post, “Made a business decision,” joking that he opted not to “punch the first person I see.”

Throughout the 2010s, Lesnar and Stonestreet had done the meme. At one point, it even looked like the “Beast Incarnate” visited the Modern Family set.

The two appear to be friends, so it makes sense that Stonestreet was at SummerSlam; after all, that might have been the last PLE Lesnar will ever wrestle at.

He lost to Femi in a “Hell in a Cell” match, the rubber match in their feud. Their series was tied 1-1 heading into SummerSlam, and the “Ruler” came out on top.

It wasn’t an easy win, as he took a Tombstone Piledriver onto the exposed ring canvas, and he also took several F5s (Lesnar’s finishing move). However, it was not enough to put Femi away.

After the match, Lesnar congratulated and embraced Femi in the ring. He then called him the “future” of the company to the crowd, signifying a passing of the torch.
