Bare Knuckle Boxing Hires Former PFL Executive Loren Mack as CMO

Loren Mack, a longtime executive in the world of MMA, will be staying in the combat world but in a different sport. Mack has departed the PFL and joins Bare Knuckle Boxing (BKB) as its new chief marketing officer and executive vice president of strategy.

Mack’s hire is the latest move by BKB founder Mike Vazquez and CEO David Tetreault to scale the promotion into a mainstream, globally broadcast combat sports powerhouse.

In his new position, Mack will oversee the promotion’s marketing campaigns, grabbing eyeballs for the BKB’s broadcasts, and grow their social media following. Additionally, Mack will be responsible for overseeing event ticket sales and the promotion’s relationships with sponsors.

As part of BKB’s leadership team, Mack will be responsible for helping to steer the company’s future as they look for the continued growth of the promotion.

“I’ve been fortunate to be part of some incredible organizations throughout my career, but I truly believe this represents the biggest opportunity in combat sports today,” Mack said in a statement. “BKB has incredible momentum and has established itself as the largest and most-watched bare knuckle boxing organization in the world. I’m excited to help continue to elevate the brand, expand its global footprint, develop new business opportunities, and introduce BKB to millions of new fans around the world.”

BKB fights are currently broadcast on VICE TV in the U.S., along with prelim fights airing on TikTok. In a conversation with Deadspin, Mack expressed great expectations for the future of BKB’s broadcasts after the conclusion of the current VICE deal, which was signed in February 2025.

BKB was founded in 2015 by Vazquez and Dhafir Harris (aka “Dada 5000”), building itself as a world leader in the discipline of bare-knuckle boxing. Originally known as the BYB Extreme Fighting Series (BYB), the promotion started a working relationship with the UK-based BKB in 2021 before acquiring them in 2024 and rebranding to the BKB name in 2025.

“BKB has achieved extraordinary growth over the past several years, and we’re assembling an executive team capable of taking the organization to the next level,” Tetreault said in a statement. “Loren brings a rare combination of strategic vision, marketing expertise, commercial leadership, and deep industry relationships developed over more than two decades in sports. His experience building global brands and driving business growth will be invaluable as we continue expanding our audience, strengthening our partnerships, and continue to bring BKB to millions of fans around the world.”

Mack most recently served as the PFL’s senior vice president of corporate communications, helping to spearhead the promotion’s global expansion while wearing hats in multiple areas of the business – running their international broadcasting deals, bringing in sponsors, and helping to elevate the PFL onto the world’s stage.

Mack also worked at ONE Championship between 2012 and 2020, serving as senior director of public relations and vice president of PR and communications during that time. Additionally, Mack worked in the early days of the UFC’s ownership under ZUFFA, helping set a foundation to get the UFC to the global-scale promotion it is today.
