PITTSBURGH — Mets rookie Carson Benge left with left wrist soreness in the bottom of the fourth inning against the Pirates on Friday night at PNC Park.

Benge had crashed into the wall in the left-field corner making an outstanding catch on a fly ball hit by Ronny Simon an inning earlier.

In 112 games this season, the 23-year-old Benge is hitting .270 with 13 home runs and 18 stolen bases.
