Chelsea have put a price tag of £42.5million on Alejandro Garnacho, talkSPORT understands.
talkSPORT previously reported that the Blues winger was up for sale.
This comes just a year after he signed for the club in a deal worth £40million from Manchester United.
The Argentina star, who missed out on a place at the World Cup, is attracting plenty of interest.
Teams in the Premier League, Italy and Saudi Arabia are keen along with admirers from other European clubs too.
Sources at Stamford Bridge suggest the hierarchy are working with the winger to secure a permanent move.
The player is believed to be keen to leave after failing to nail down a guaranteed regular starting role.
Garnacho is yet to report for pre-season training due to the ongoing interest from multiple teams, with his future expected to be resolved in the next fortnight.
The 22-year-old only scored one Premier League goal during his debut campaign as a Chelsea player last year.
He featured 24 times in the top flight but only started on 14 occasions, struggling to hold down a first-team place.
Across all competitions, he played 43 times for the Blues in total, scoring eight and assisting four goals last campaign.
Chelsea began pre-season training on Thursday for members of the squad who were not at the World Cup.
Garnacho was cut from Argentina’s final 26-man squad for the tournament, with manager Lionel Scaloni prioritising recent club form.
However, the winger was absent from the sessions at Cobham, the first under the new Blues boss Xabi Alonso.
The west London club has made it clear they will only listen to permanent offers for the Argentine, despite reports of a loan interest from Serie A side Roma.
Former club Man United are entitled to 10 per cent of any sale made by the Blues with new manager Alonso hoping for a wholesale reshape of the squad.
The club has already confirmed two outgoing players with Marc Cucurella joining Real Madrid for £52million and Tyrique George moving to Everton for a fee that could rise to £24m.
Meanwhile, they have completed the signings of full-back Marco Palestra from Atalanta for £47m and winger Geovany Quenda from Sporting for £40m.
There is expected to be more business happening from the London-based outfit this summer, including Trevoh Chalobah exploring options abroad.
Alonso spoke about the team he wants to create at Chelsea, stating: “For me, in football, there are principles that are non negotiable.”
“You need to be willing to pay the price to compete at the highest level. You can’t hold back anything. You need to give everything you have for the benefit of the team. The team is always the most important thing.
“We need to create that culture, which is a process – and the process is on a daily basis here in Cobham, training every day to prepare for when we have to perform in front of our fans.
“I think there is a strong culture already built; there’s an important core of the team and those players that they have established throughout the years need to help the young ones to feel that.
“That’s with their professionalism, with their work ethic, with knowing the team is the most important thing. Daily, we will be able to have that perception and create that culture.
“That culture we are able to build here will, 100 per cent, be transmitted onto Stamford Bridge.”
Chelsea underwhelmingly finished 10th in the Premier League last season and are training ahead of a pre-season tour in Asia and Australia in two weeks’ time.
