Brothers will be brothers, as evidenced by twins Devin and Jason McCourty‘s banter after the latter was added to ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcasts.
Devin McCourty was watching his brother on Get Up from his bathroom. He joked, “I heard Monday Night Football was anxious to get an expert on handling losing seasons to balance out the team.”

Of course, he still congratulated his twin. He only took a shot at his brother after Jason McCourty joked that viewers can see the “better twin” on Monday Night Football after seeing Devin on Sunday broadcasts.
Devin and Jason McCourty’s roles on ESPN Monday Night Football
ESPN will now have both of the McCourty twins on its broadcasts during the NFL season. Devin will be featured on ESPN’s Sunday night pre-game show, while Jason will be on the Monday Night Football pre-game show, making his debut on Sep. 14, 2026, before the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos.
Both McCourty twins have stepped into broadcasting after their playing careers were over. Devin has also worked for NBC’s Football Night in America.
While they are twins, the McCourtys came into the NFL in different years. Jason was a sixth-round pick out of Rutgers in 2009 by the Tennessee Titans. Devin was a first-round pick out of Rutgers in 2010 by the New England Patriots.
Devin would spend his entire career with the Patriots from 2010 to 2022, winning three Super Bowls and making three Second-team All-Pros. He was also a two-time Pro Bowler.
The two would briefly be on the same team in the NFL when Jason joined the Patriots in 2018, staying in New England until 2020. He closed out his career with the Miami Dolphins. In total, Jason played for four teams throughout his career: the Titans, the Cleveland Browns, the Patriots, and the Dolphins.
