Glorious Goodwood continues this afternoon as the five day festival takes centre stage and the feature race today is the Sussex Stakes.

The £850,650 Sussex Stakes is the lucrative feature race of Day 2 at the Qatar Goodwood Festival setting off at 4.10pm.
Bow Echo is the massive favourite and the three-year-old warrants the favouritism.
The George Boughey-trained star has remained unbeaten in his five starts in his career, accumulating £5 shy of £800,000.
Well, today he could more than double that in one race which is clearly what this horse has been building toward and aiming for.
He started out and has remained at 1m ever since his debut back in August 2025.
This season he’s been put up against Gstaad in two successive Group 1 races and he’s beaten him each time.
Including when winning the St James’s Palace Stakes last time out at Royal Ascot, but that was only by a short head in comparison to his near 3 length demolition of Gstaad in the 2000 Guineas.
Coming into this Group 1 also sees him face older horses for the first time including the four-year-old Opera Ballo, but they have to carry an extra 8lb for being their seniors.
Surely, Bow Echo can put his stamp on the 1m distance and prolong his unbeaten record here, under Billy Loughnane in the colours of the late Sheikh Mohammed Obaid.
