Last-place Blue Jackets fire Evason, hire Bowness
The Columbus Blue Jackets, last place in the Metropolitan Division, fired coach Dean Evason, the team announced on Monday, and immediately hired Rick Bowness, 70, to replace him, president of hockey operations and general manager Don Waddell confirmed.
