Luke Littler has become the first darts player to ever reach £3million in prize money with his World Matchplay semi-final win.
The reigning world champion thrashed Dirk van Duijvenbode 17-5 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool to reach the final.
He will face Gerwyn Price on Sunday in his bid to win back-to-back titles in the competition.
Littler had already banked at least £65,000 by reaching the semi-final against Van Duijvenbode.
However, the victory has taken him on step further as he guaranteed himself a minimum £125,000.
It has taken him to £3,043,500 in prize money on the PDC Order of Merit list, making him the first to surpass the three million mark.
Should Littler beat Price in the final, his £225,000 winnings from the World Matchplay would see him rise to £3,143,500 in total.
Luke Humphries is closest to him in the rankings, but he still sits over £2million behind in second.
When told of his record-breaking prize money haul, Littler refused to rest on his laurels.
Littler eyes darts dominance
“I want to stay dominant, I want to keep winning and winning,” he told Sky Sports.
“I want to try and beat Phil’s (Taylor) record. I’ve got to keep going and obviously a fair bit to defend at the back end of the year.
“We come back tomorrow and hopefully go back-to-back.”

Looking ahead to the final against Price, who is confident of denying him another title, he added: “Me and Gez always have great games.
“Gez will want to try and get me into a roaring battle. As long as I can get into the lead that will be the thing.
“I wouldn’t say he gets under my skin but if he’s roaring, I’m like I want to do that.”
Littler kicked off his 2026 with a second World Championship win and since added another two titles.
He first won the UK Open in March, and became on the fourth player to defend his title in doing so.
Premier League victory followed in May with a narrow 11-10 win over Humphries in the play-off final.
