Hull face a huge battle to stay in the Premier League this season, with the side currently priced as short as 1/6 to be relegated, which could leave their manager fighting for his job early in the season.
The Bosnian defied all expectations last season when he snuck a side who were expected to be in the battle to avoid relegation into League One into the top six on the final day of the season only to see themselves promoted following their play-off final win over Middlesbrough.
With what looks on paper to be by far the weakest squad in the top flight this season, the Tigers are expected to struggle from the off, and with Manchester United, Aston Villa and Chelsea to come in their first four games, Jakirovic could be in a struggle to keep hold of his job early on.
Gary O’Neil returns to the Premier League this season after a short spell in France last season to take over another newly promoted side in Ipswich, coming in as Kieran McKenna’s successor following the Northern Irishman’s shock resignation at the end of last season.
The 43-year-old his mixed experiences of managing in the Premier League before, enjoying a successful season with Bournemouth before being sacked as Wolves boss the season before last with just nine points from their opening 16 games.
Ipswich are another team expected to struggle this season, priced odds on as second favourites for relegation at 4/6, and with Manchester United and Liverpool in their first three games, a tough start to the campaign is expected which could leave O’Neil on the back foot early on.

Oliver Glasner moving to Nottingham Forest was on of the more surprising managerial appointments in the summer.
The Austrian left his role as Crystal Palace manager at the end of last season after winning three major trophies in the span of just over a year, during which Forest and Palace and developed a rivalry after the former benefited from the latter being kicked out of the Europa League last season.
Despite all of Glasner’s credentials as manager, Nottingham Forest and particularly their owner Evangelos Marinakis has a history of being particularly cut-throat was sacking managers, having got through four last season alone, which might not bode well for their new man in the hot seat.
Newcastle are expected to have a difficult season this time around having lost three of their most dependable players in the summer, Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon, as well as the surprise departure of Eddie Howe as manager.
38-year-old German manager Matthias Jaissle was appointed his Howe’s replacement, making the move from Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli, but with Liverpool and Tottenham in their first two matches, he could be playing catch up from early on.
A host of managers are priced just outside the top four favourites on 12/1 to be the first manager to leave, including new Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa, newly promoted Coventry boss Frank Lampard, as well as Daniel Farke and Regis le Bris who will be looking to avoid second season syndrome at Leeds and Sunderland respectively.
