The PFL hosts its penultimate summer series event in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Friday, live on talkSPORT.
Charlotte’s own Bryan Battle is out to bounce back from defeat on his PFL debut in March when he faces fellow American Dalton Rosta in the main event.

Despite losing just one of his UFC fights, Battle was cut from Dana White’s promotion in 2025 due to a series of weight misses.
He then fought current interim PFL middleweight champion Johnny Eblen at PFL Pittsburgh but was submitted in the first round.
The 31-year-old has promised to make a statement fighting back at home for the first time in three years when he collides with Rosta, who is also fresh off suffering adversity for the first time in the PFL.
Rosta was 11-1 in his professional MMA career before he was brutally knocked out by Fabian Edwards last August and suffered another stoppage defeat to Impa Kasanganay last time out.
Battle and Rosta have been embroiled in a war of words right through to fight week as they headline PFL Charlotte, which also features British talent Simeon Powell and Lewis McGrillen.
Manchester’s McGrillen returns to the PFL just 20 days since he was shockingly submitted by Rafael do Nascimento in Austin, Texas.
PFL Charlotte: Start time
PFL Charlotte takes place on Friday, August 7, at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The preliminary card is set to get underway from 12am BST on Saturday (7pm ET, 4pm PT).
Main card action is then expected to start at 3am BST (10pm ET, 7pm PT).
Battle’s main event with Rosta is likely to take place after 4:30am BST (11.30pm ET, 8:30pm PT).

PFL Charlotte: What has been said?
Speaking to MMA Junkie, Battle wanted to remind people how he fought the last time he was in Charlotte.
He had suffered his first UFC defeat to Rinat Fakhretdinov in December 2022 but came back five months later to knock out Gabe Green in 14 seconds.
“I feel great mentally, sharp and as good as I’ve ever felt coming into this one,” Battle explained.
“If you want to cycle back to my last fight in Charlotte, my only loss in the UFC came before that fight.
“You see how I responded that time. I’m one of those people where taking a loss only makes me better.
“It just makes me sick, and I can’t f****** — the idea of dealing with that again is just something I don’t want to f****** do.
“In Charlotte, in California, Vegas, Russia, China, I don’t care where this fight was.
“I’m going to win regardless. It is fun to be able to bounce back in my home town, though, with my people.”
