New York Golf Club had a rough Tuesday.

The second doubleheader of the week took place on Tuesday and New York was the team who pulled double duty. They lost to The Bay Golf Club in their first outing and got absolutely handled by Boston Common Golf in their second.

Here is how each team stacked up for the match (Boston Common Golf, New York Golf Club):

TRIPLES

  • Hole 1 (Cut The Sails): New York started off with a win after losing their first match
  • Hole 2 (Bonnie Link): Boston answered right back, although they had a declined hammer
  • Hole 3 (The Last Toll): Tie
  • Hole 4 (Storrowed): Tie
  • Hole 5 (Craic On): This was quick work as New York won following a tough tee shot from Hideki Matsuyama, they even threw the Hammer and had it declined
  • Hole 6 (Loot On The Line): Boston was able to level things up again, though
  • Hole 7 (Cenote): And then they took the lead
  • Hole 8 (Bluebonnet): They kept right on rolling
  • Hole 9 (Big Apple): With their foot totally on the gas, but a New York penalty stroke was the main reason why here

SINGLES

  • Hole 10 (The Spear): ANOTHER Boston win!
  • Hole 11 (Straight Up): New York threw the Hammer to start, but the hole ended in a tie
  • Hole 12 (Set In Stone): This time it was Boston who threw the Hammer, but yet another draw
  • Hole 13 (Stinger): New York threw the Hammer to start and it wound up backfiring as Boston won
  • Hole 14 (Cliffhanger): Another tie
  • Hole 15 (Caverns): Boston won and tied their franchise record with 9 points

TGL is still in its infancy as a league, but Boston did not win a single match at all in 2025 and ended this particular one at the top of the league’s overall table. It is a fun story to say the least.

Time will tell what the rest of the TGL season has in store for each of its players, but perhaps the frogs will be the ones lifting the trophy at its end.
