2026 Cincinnati Open: Complete Draw, Seeds and Key Withdrawals Ahead of US Open

The Cincinnati Open draw has been revealed for 2026, with the main event taking place from August 13th until August 23rd, rolling into the US Open.

Big Name Withdrawals

There have already been a few seeded withdrawals from this Masters 1000 event, which include the two best players in the world: Jannik Sinner and 2025 champion Carlos Alcaraz.

Holger Rune will also miss the event due to his Achilles rupture.

Victoria Mboko, Karolina Muchova, and Jasmine Paolini have withdrawn from the event due to injuries.

Followed by Emma Raducanu, who has inevitably pulled out of this Masters event and the US Open due to her leg fracture.

ATP

With the withdrawals of seeded players: Alcaraz, Sinner, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and Alexander Bublik. There has been a mix-up in the seeded players.

The Draws and Most Anticipated Early Round Match-Ups

Both the men’s and women’s draws are split into 4 brackets with 8 seeded players in each section.

ATP

In bracket one, the most anticipated potential matchups are:

Cam Norrie or Dino Prizmic versus Zverev in the round of 64. A match that could definitely cause Zverev issues if he is not fully fit.

Terrance Atmane versus Etcheverry in the round of 64. Atmane was a semifinalist in Cincinnati last year.

A potential round-of-32 match between Paul and Vacherot. They are two very well-rounded players on hard courts.

And a potential round-of-64 match between Belgium’s talents Blockx and Raphael Collignon.

In bracket two:

British wildcard Jack Draper could face Novak Djokovic in a round-of-32 tie. A rematch between the pair after Draper won at Indian Wells in March of this year.

Gael Monfils versus Darderi in a round-of-64 matchup will be a brilliant spectacle between two of the most passionate players on tour.

A round-of-32 match between Lehecka and Matteo Berrettini is an exciting prospect for tennis fans. Berrettini, when fit, is another dangerous player who poses a threat to top seeds.

Britain’s Fery against De Minaur would be a battle of pace and precision in a potential round-of-32 meeting.

In bracket three:

There is potential for Fritz and Alex Michelsen in the round-of-64; Fritz is still struggling with his knee tendinitis.

Botic van de Zandschulp and Tallon Griekspoor meet in the round-of-128. Both Dutchmen went on great runs in Canada. The winner will face Brazil’s Fonseca.

An in-form Nakashima could face an out-of-sorts Medvedev in the round-of-32.

And in bracket four:

Shelton could face Jenson Brooksby in an all-American round-of-64 match. The American wildcard has posed a threat to Shelton this season.

Tien and Grigor Dimitrov may meet in a round-of-64 bout too. Dimitrov has suffered from injuries over the last few years but remains an excellent player.

And a recovering Auger-Aliassime may face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round-of-64. The Greek player has looked competitive in recent events.

WTA

In bracket one:

A potential round-of-64 match between Krejcikova and Karolina Pliskova is an exciting all-Czech bout. Both players have been staples in women’s tennis.

Keys and Osaka will meet in a round-of-32 match if both players see off their first opponents.

And Canadian hard-court specialist Fernandez will face Svitolina in a round-of-32 tie. In a game of patience against power.

In bracket two:

Maya Joint can face Jovic in a round-of-64 match. The pair are two of the WTA’s youngest and rising stars.

Sloane Stephens, a Grand Slam winner, will face Potapova in a round-of-64 bout. Potapova’s form since the clay season’s conclusion has been inconsistent. Stephens can cause an upset against the seeded player.

In bracket three:

One of Katie Boulter or Katie Volynets will face Noskova in a round-of-64 bout. Noskova has looked far from impressive on the hard surface and could lose to either potential opponent.

Tauson, who has been lacklustre throughout 2026, will potentially face Peyton Stearns in a round-of-64 match. Both players are struggling for form.

Zeynep Sonmez is projected to play Anisimova in the round of 64, with the winner potentially facing in-form Mubadala DC Open champion and fan favourite Eala.

An American face-off between Navarro and Pegula is a highly probable round-of-32 match which Americans will be awaiting with excitement.

In bracket four:

Last year’s champion Swiatek will face the legendary Venus Williams in a round-of-64 affair. This matchup is contingent on Williams winning her opening match.

Roland-Garros finalist Chwalinska is another seed at risk of an early exit. She has not won a match at any level since that final. She will face either Cristina Busca or Panna Udvardy in a round-of-64 tie.

Camila Osorio faces Taylor Townsend in the opening round. Osorio is criminally underrated on a hard court and could take down a home nation favourite. The winner of that match will then face Australian Open champion Rybakina in the next round.
